Hungry Gull Taking Challenge of Catching & Killing Octopus

A hungry gull took on the challenge of catching and killing an octopus in the Bolsa Chica Wetlands Reserve in Huntington Beach, Southern California. The octopus defended itself by wrapping his long tentacles around the seagull’s beak. After an intense fight, the gull finally succeeded in subduing the octopus and after a few more prods with its beak was able to lift its meal out of the water.

Ukrainian glass artist Nikita Drachuk creates mind blowing handmade glass animal sculptures. Her delicate glass animal sculptures include spiders, grasshopper, octopi and other critters. He uses as method called lampworking, where a lamp or torch is used to melt rods of colored glass. Once in a molten state, the glass can be formed by blowing and shaping with various tools and small movements.

55-year-old amateur photographer Paul McGreevy caught some amazing formations by starlings that resembles a dolphing being chased by a killer whale and a giant octopus. Paul McGreevy didn’t notice these beautiful formations until he got his camera home and started putting the images on his computer.
