Pouring a Thermos of Hot Tea at -40°C

Ontario-based photographer Michael Davies captured captured this impressive shot of his friend Markus hurling a thermos of hot tea through the air in -40°C weather. At such frigid temperatures water freezes instantly to form a dramatic plume of ice. Markus threw the hot tea into the freezing air, which resulted in one seriously stunning image.

Perfect Layer of Ice Peeled Off a Tree’s Leaf

A couple winters ago, reddit user SearonTrejorek took this incredible photo when he peeled a perfect layer of ice off a Magnolia tree’s leaf. It took him a few tries as the ice melt quickly and it was tough to peel off a perfect layer without breaking.
