2014 is the year of the horse. This aerial photo showing a 20-metre-tall and 30-metre-wide picture, made from pine cones, of a horse is displayed to celebrate the Year of the horse at the Hitachi Beach park in Hitachinaka city, Ibaraki prefecture, some 100-kilometres north of Tokyo.
Visitors could see the picture, made up from around 30,000 pine cones collected in the park, from a nearby 65-metre-tall ferris wheel.
