We all love to write our names on beach and we don’t feel sad to see them washed away by waves, but one super-rich 63-year-old Arab Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan decided not to see his name washed away therefore he carved the name HAMAD so big that it can be seen even from the space.
The word ‘HAMAD’ measures 1,000 meters high and is a staggering two miles long from the ‘H’ to the ‘D’. Rather than allow the writing to be washed away by the ocean, the letters actually create waterways that absorb the power of the tide. His name is even visible on Google’s map service.
Sheikh Hamad is also known for his generous donations to the medicine field. He has supplied a complete kidney stone operating theater to a public hospital in Morocco where he continues to fund its staff.
