Today most of us have cellular phones and the public pay phones have become obsolete. Art collective Kingyobu have totally shifted their purpose and turned them into artistic monuments.
Kingyobu, a team of art & design students from the Kyoto University transformed old phone booths into goldfish aquariums. They install goldfish tanks across several phone booths in Osaka – Japan. People of Japan believe goldfish to bring happiness and prosperity and that’s why these phone booth aquariums offer something magical that is sure to catch the eye of pedestrians.
